JobWorks is an employability programme aimed to meet the needs of young people aged 16-24 years who are not in education, employment or training.

JobWorks will provide a flexible framework of development pathways, which are tailored according to individual need and circumstance.  The project will assist in the development of new skills, experiences and direction in order for young people to move forward with future aspirations.

What’s involved?

Depending on the need of the young person they could take part in all or any combination of the following:

  • Fun activities
  • Goal setting
  • Personal development training
  • Work experience
  • Work readiness / employability skills
  • Job search skills
  • CV development

OCNNI Qualifications in:

  • Customer Service
  • Setting and Achieving Personal Goals
  • Teamwork Skills
  • Peer Mentoring

Industry recognised qualifications in:

  • SIA license
  • Health & Safety at Work
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Fire Safety

Throughout their time on the programme they will work alongside one of our mentors who will offer them as much support as they need.

How will the programme benefit young people?

The project is aimed to meet individual needs whether that is improving confidence, gaining new skills, work experience or increasing employability – The YOUNG PERSON decides!

Who can apply?

Young people aged 16 – 24, not in education, training or employment and living within the Greater Belfast area.
