Digital Badges
In addition to our offering of nationally accredited qualifications, Springboard participants can also gain digital badge microcredentials relating to Citizenship, Good Relations, Employability and Personal & Social education.
Our microcredential digital badges are designed to recognise the time invested by each young person into developing transversal skills and to celebrate completion of non-accredited training. badges are awarded as either a Standard or Plus level:
To gain the Standard level participants must:
- Complete a minimum of 3 individual activities
- Have participated for a minimum of 40 hours towards activities
- Have developed an understanding of the topics covered
- Worked and communicated well within the group environment
To gain the Plus level participants must:
- Have met the requirements for Standard level
- Complete a minimum of 6 activities with 3 being from Plus level
- Have put their learning into action or led activities
- Fully participated in the selected activities for a minimum of 80 hours
Earners of this badge have developed communication and interpersonal skills to support effective teamwork and performance in a range of group settings.

Earners of this badge have participated in workshops to explore the rights and responsibilities of being an active citizen and have explored what services their communities have and require. Earners of this badge have developed an understanding of the importance of diversity and good relations. Earners have become more aware of diverse groups and the importance of respect within them. Learners will have a better understanding of what is meant by prejudice and discrimination and will recognise the value of equal opportunities legislation.
