Springboard is delighted to announce the appointment of Steph O’Rourke as Executive Director.
Steph brings a wealth of experience to the organisation and a strong commitment to Springboard’s mission of bringing together and supporting young people from across communities who face disadvantage and are impacted by the legacy of the conflict. With 17+ years’ experience in peacebuilding and youth work, Steph has spearheaded the design and delivery of successful interventions within and across divided communities. Her creative design approach has produced innovative, needs-led programme models which positively contribute to the good relations agenda within N Ireland. Starting as a participant with the organisation, Steph progressed to successfully becoming its Deputy Director in 2021.
I am honoured to undertake this position within Springboard, an outstanding organisation with a 32-year track record of creating positive change for young people. I am also very grateful to the leadership and guidance of our exiting Executive Director Angila Chada whose legacy, impact and integrity will forever be the cornerstones of Springboards story. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated Board, our partners, and a passionate and skilled staff team to ensure young people continue to be at the heart of our work. With the continued support of our funders, we are determined to move forward with a strong vision and commitment to contributing positively to the lives of young people and communities in NI.
